Neil has many years of experience working in some of Bristol’s top Hotels before moving down to Devon in 1988 to be closer to the food he loves to cook the most. After working in some of the most respected kitchens and with the most talented chefs Neil has created a gem of a restaurant in the beautiful seaside town of Sidmouth.

Neil’s love of fish and experience in selecting the best produce, combined with the deep knowledge of local suppliers that comes after years of working in Beer and Sidmouth means that you get excellent food at excellent value.

I know what the days menu will be after the boats have come in and the fish landed. My goal is to use the freshest ingredients that are locally caught and so as the seasons change, so does the catch. After years of selecting ingredients I know what is the best quality and value, so each day I select the freshest and tastiest available. Knowing the fishermen and fish merchants over many years means that I know how the fish are caught and often which boat has landed it. Getting the best flavours means knowing where each ingredient comes from.
